Cameras

A CCTV system is a set of security cameras connected to a recorder that stores the video. You can watch the cameras live or play back recordings on a screen or on your phone.

For most homes and shops an IP or smart hybrid camera system gives the best picture and remote viewing. Cameras with night colour and smart detection reduce false alerts.

Hikvision is one of the world's best-known CCTV brands, with cameras for every budget, from simple turret cameras to AcuSense models with smart detection.

Yes. Cameras record to the recorder on site without internet. You only need an internet connection to watch the cameras remotely.

Wired cameras are the most reliable because they don't depend on Wi-Fi and often get power through the same cable. Wireless cameras are quicker to install where running cables is difficult.

At Cyprus PC, Hikvision cameras start from about €49 each. The total cost depends on how many cameras you need, the recorder, storage and installation.
